Piovenefabi

The Milan–Brussels architecture studio Piovenefabi paid tribute to the Milan metro in 2017 with a much-discussed show at the Chicago Architecture Biennial. Its highlight was a floor lamp that reproduces the metro’s iconic handrail. With Metro Lamps, valerie_objects transforms the gallery piece into a full lighting collection with playful variants. The floor lamp, originally designed in iconic red, is now also available in three additional colours referencing the Milan metro. Piovenefabi also deconstructed the original lamp into its basic forms and reassembled them into three playful table lamps and a pendant lamp.
