valerie_objects is a belgian high-end design label initiated by Axel Van Den Bossche, CEO of renowned design company Serax, and Veerle Wenes, owner of the iconic design & art gallery Valerie Traan. The mission consists of allowing extraordinary designers and artists to translate their signature style into tangible objects, in order to reinstall an aesthetic meaning to the tools and objects we use every day. In short: give daily objects their beauty back.
Design duo Muller Van Severen was the first to sign with valerie_objects. They are considered one of the most image-defining European designers of today. Other creators have followed, from established makers who’ve put their stamp on the design world (such as Maarten Baas, Studio Wieki Somers, big-game,...) to young and experimental creatives who challenge the way we look at objects (destroyers/builders, Knutson + Ballouhey,...). All creators have one thing in common: they stand out for their clear signature, their style is immediately recognizable, whether they make a table or a teapot.
valerie_objects understands the designer’s drive to develop a durable signature style, as well as the consumer’s desire to connect with a patiently selected object. The label stands for unique yet accessible creations, all designed for daily use. By focusing on the emotional power of design, valerie_objects offers objects many owners develop a special relationship with: they get more and more attached as the object becomes part of their personal story.
At valerie_objects, we do not make products. We make objects that become subjects.
